WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Web/Digital Developer


JOB PURPOSE

We’re seeking a talented and passionate Web/Digital Developer to manage and enhance the functionality of our online platforms. This remote role requires a blend of creativity, technical skills, and a strong understanding of digital marketing. You’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining our website and various third-party platforms. We work in a fast-paced environment that occasionally requires irregular work hours and quick turnarounds, so flexibility is critical for success in this position. The Web/Digital Developer position reports to the Marketing and Communications Manager. The ideal candidate we are looking for would be creative, innovative, and passionate about the mission of Equip and Empower.

The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the development and functionality of the back-end of our CRM system: Clarety, which includes, but is not limited to:

    • Website/Back-end Development & Design
    • CRM > Data Warehouse/Reporting
    • Mass Communication/Email
    • Shop/Merchant Account
    • Donation/Sales

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Website Development & Maintenance:
      • Design, develop, and maintain engaging web pages, landing pages, and
    • forms, ensuring optimal user experience and SEO best practices.
      • Manage and update content, including text, images, and multimedia,
    • ensuring consistency across all platforms.
      • Implement and maintain web tracking tools for data analysis and
    • optimization.
      • Manage e-commerce functionality (shop offers, digital downloads,
    • donation processing).
      • Integrate with third-party platforms (Circle, Teachable, Squarespace, Asana,
    • Slack).
      • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
    • Content Creation & Management:
      • Produce high-quality web content, including copy, graphics, and videos.
      • Manage and optimize SEO for website content.
      • Analyze web traffic data to identify trends and opportunities for
    • improvement.
      • Stay abreast of current digital marketing trends and technologies.
    • Case Management:
      • Manage and track project progress for web development tasks and client
    • requests.
      • Coordinate with Marketing and Communication Manager and other teams
    • to ensure successful project completion.
      • Proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure optimal user experience.
    • Other Responsibilities:
      • Manage and oversee Google Ads, Analytics, and Tag Manager accounts.
      • Manage and integrate with external platforms (YouTube, Vimeo, Teachable,
    • Cirlce, etc.).
      • Maintain a budget for development and web maintenance costs.
      • Participate in ongoing training and professional development
    • opportunities.

Qualifications – Essential, Desirable, Compensation

Essential:

    • Proven experience in web development and digital marketing (mention specific technologies/platforms if possible).
    • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (or other relevant technologies).
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to work independently
  • and collaboratively.
    • Experience with content management systems (CMS).
    • Strong understanding of SEO principles.
    • Experience using Google Analytics and other data analysis tools.

Desirable:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Web Development, or a related field.
    • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
    • Experience with Apple computer platforms.
    • Familiarity with programming languages.
