Job Description: Web Development Instructor (Full-Time, Remote)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, Full-Time
Role Overview
We’re looking for a dedicated Web Development Instructor to join our team and play a pivotal role in our bootcamp program. This position involves not only teaching but also developing the curriculum and creating engaging learning materials for our students. The program offers both 12-week full-time and 7-9 month part-time schedules, providing flexible options for learners.
As an instructor, you’ll deliver live, face-to-face lessons via video call, guide students through their learning journey, and ensure they graduate with job-ready skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Development: Design, develop, and update the program structure and content to ensure it aligns with industry standards and trends.
- Learning Materials: Create high-quality written and video learning materials, including step-by-step instructions, coding examples, and project guides.
- Live Teaching: Deliver live, online, face-to-face classes via video call, ensuring students understand key concepts and techniques.
- Student Guidance: Mentor students through their learning journey, helping them tackle challenges and build confidence.
- Project Oversight: Assist students in completing hands-on projects, ensuring their work is practical and industry-relevant.
- Feedback and Support: Provide personalized feedback on assignments and code submissions while addressing individual learning needs.
- Stay Industry-Current: Regularly review and adapt the curriculum to reflect the latest trends, tools, and best practices in web development.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional web development experience, including senior-level work in front-end, back-end, and full-stack development.
- Teaching Skills: Prior experience in teaching, mentoring, or training students, interns, or junior developers is essential.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in:
- Front-End: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, frameworks like React or Angular
- Back-End: Ruby on Rails, Node.js, Python, or PHP
- Databases: SQL and NoSQL databases
- Version Control: Git and GitHub
- Deployment Tools: Heroku, AWS, or similar platforms
- Material Creation: Experience creating instructional content (written and video) is highly desirable.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible manner.
- Commitment: Full-time availability, Monday to Friday, with the flexibility to adapt to student needs.
