At uluad we work with nonprofit organizations to help scale their revenue through “paid search” acquisition using Google Grants.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Account Manager & Team Lead to manage key client relationships while also leading a team of account management professionals. The primary responsibility of this role is to reduce client churn by ensuring satisfaction and loyalty across the client base. You will oversee day-to-day account operations and drive growth within your portfolio. Additionally, you will provide leadership, mentorship, and support to junior account managers, ensuring the team consistently delivers exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Retention and Churn Reduction:
  • Actively work to reduce churn by maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Proactively address client concerns and potential risks to maintain long-term partnerships.
  • Develop and implement retention strategies to minimize client turnover.
  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring strong relationships and consistent communication.
  • Understand client goals, challenges, and industry trends to provide tailored solutions and strategies.
  • Ensure that all client expectations are met or exceeded by coordinating internal teams and resources.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead and manage a team of account managers, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance feedback.
  • Oversee team workload, ensuring proper resource allocation to meet client needs and deadlines.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment, encouraging team development and growth.
  • Strategic Account Growth:
  • Identify opportunities to expand client relationships by upselling and cross-selling additional products or services.
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement strategies for account growth.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and retention rates, taking proactive steps to improve them.
  • Operational Excellence:
  • Develop and optimize processes and procedures to improve the efficiency of account management.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting on account performance, including metrics such as client satisfaction, revenue, and growth.
  • Lead the resolution of any client-related issues or conflicts, ensuring a positive outcome for all parties.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with internal teams, such as sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure seamless execution of client projects and initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and internal departments to manage expectations and deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in account management, client services, or a related field, with 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of managing client relationships, reducing churn, and driving account growth.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience mentoring and developing junior team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients and team members.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging client situations with professionalism and poise.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: R156,00 – R208,00 per hour
