Personal Assistant (Bilingual – English & Chinese) Job Description
Job Title: Personal Assistant (PA) – Bilingual (English & Chinese)
Location: Milnerton, Cape Town
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary Range: 30k per month
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Bilingual Personal Assistant fluent in both English and Chinese (Mandarin) to provide comprehensive administrative and personal support to Individual. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of managing tasks efficiently in a multicultural environment. This role requires strong communication skills in both languages, discretion, and the ability to anticipate needs proactively.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support:
- Manage and organize schedules, appointments, and meetings in English and Chinese.
- Coordinate international travel arrangements, including flights, visas, and accommodations.
- Handle bilingual correspondence (emails, calls, messages) and translation when necessary.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documents in both languages.
- Maintain confidential files and records with discretion.
Personal & Liaison Support:
- Assist with personal errands, family schedules, and household tasks.
- Act as a cultural and linguistic bridge for business/personal matters.
- Communicate effectively with Chinese and English-speaking contacts, including clients, vendors, and team members.
Project & Business Support:
- Assist with cross-cultural business projects, research, and negotiations.
- Track deadlines, manage expenses, and ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Fluent in both English and Chinese (Mandarin) – spoken and written.
- Proven experience as a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, or similar role.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and scheduling tools.
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential matters.
- Flexibility to work outside standard hours if needed (e.g., for international calls).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Languages, or related field.
- Experience working in a bilingual/multicultural environment.
- Familiarity with Chinese business etiquette and culture.
