Responsibilities:
● Assist the Senior Partnership/Business Development Officer in developing and executing
a comprehensive business development strategy.
● Conduct in-depth research to identify and qualify potential leads within the South African
market, focusing on restaurants, groceries, and ghost kitchens.
● Provide ongoing support throughout the sales cycle, including qualification of leads, data
entry into CRM, and preparation of presentations.
● Participate in client meetings and presentations, learning from the Senior Officer’s expertise.
● Build and maintain positive relationships with potential and existing partners.
● Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay informed of industry trends.
● Contribute to the creation of sales and marketing collateral to support partnership efforts.
● Assist with the onboarding of new partners to ensure a smooth transition to the Shipday
platform.
Qualifications:
● 2-3 years of experience in a sales, marketing, or business development role (or relevant internship experience).
● A strong understanding of the South African business landscape, with a particular
interest in the delivery sector.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse audiences.
● Proactive, resourceful, and a highly motivated team player.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic CRM software.
● A passion for technology and its potential to revolutionize the logistics industry.
Bonus Points:
● Experience working with a B2B sales team.
● Familiarity with all-in-one delivery software platforms.
● Fluency in English and Afrikaans (desirable).
