We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Junior Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist who also has a solid background in web design. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing our clients’ websites to improve their search engine rankings while also contributing to the design and development of engaging, user-friendly websites.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct keyword research and analysis to identify SEO opportunities.

Develop and implement effective on-page and off-page SEO strategies.

Monitor and analyze website performance using SEO tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, and Moz.

Create and update website content to ensure it is optimized for search engines.

Perform technical SEO audits and recommend improvements.

Collaborate with the design team to create visually appealing and SEO-friendly web designs.

Develop and maintain websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Content Management Systems (like WordPress, Shopify, Magento).

Ensure website designs are responsive and optimized for all devices.

Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO and web design trends and best practices.

Requirements:

Thorough knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Proficiency in Content Management Systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Shopify, and Magento.

Strong web design skills with a keen eye for aesthetics and usability.

Experience with SEO tools and techniques.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Reliable high-speed, uncapped internet connection and a dependable laptop setup.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Must be located in South Africa, with a preference for candidates based in Cape Town.
