Job Title: Front End Developer / Project Lead
Location: Remote (Preference for South Africa or Latin America)
Working Hours: 10/11 AM GMT – 6/7 PM GMT (flexible with some overlap to bridge time zones between SEA and US)
About Us
We are a design and development studio specializing in Webflow websites for startups and enterprise companies. Our teams work in small, collaborative groups of three:
- Project Lead (Technical expertise and client-facing)
- Webflow Developer
- UI/UX Designer
We deliver a mix of consistent retainer work and custom one-time build projects, always prioritizing quality and innovation.
The Role
We are looking for a talented Front End Developer / Project Lead who will split their time equally between leading projects and building exceptional websites. You will:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, communicating effectively via text and calls.
- Lead a small team to solve client problems, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality projects.
- Build modern, user-friendly websites using front end technologies and Webflow.
- Manage a mix of ongoing retainer work and custom-build projects.
Responsibilities
- Project Leadership:
- Manage client relationships, acting as a bridge between the client’s needs and your team’s work.
- Lead problem-solving sessions, ensuring efficient collaboration within your team.
- Oversee timelines, deliverables, and project outcomes.
- Front End Development:
- Build websites using front-end technologies like React, Svelte, Vanilla JavaScript, and APIs.
- Maintain and optimize code for performance and scalability.
- Develop and implement integrations using APIs and modern web tools.
- Webflow Expertise:
- Build and maintain Webflow projects (training will be provided for those new to Webflow).
- Collaborate closely with the UI/UX designer to ensure seamless designs.
Requirements
- Technical Skills:
- Strong front-end development experience (React, Svelte, Vanilla JavaScript, APIs).
- Experience building responsive and performant websites.
- Understanding of modern development workflows and tools (e.g., Git, CI/CD).
- Familiarity with Webflow is a plus but not required (training provided).
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Leadership Skills:
- Proven ability to manage and lead small teams.
- Comfortable taking initiative and working independently in a remote environment.
- Experience managing multiple projects and prioritizing tasks effectively.
