The Role:

The Email Marketing Manager will be responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing our email marketing campaigns. This role requires a creative copywriter with a knack for direct response marketing who can develop engaging content and implement effective email strategies. The ideal candidate is proactive, enthusiastic about generating new ideas, and skilled at turning concepts into high-performing email campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Execute Email Campaigns: Create and manage email marketing campaigns from concept to execution, ensuring alignment with marketing goals and brand guidelines.
  • Copywriting: Write compelling, persuasive, and engaging email copy that drives action and resonates with our target audience.
  • Direct Response Marketing: Utilize direct response techniques to craft emails that drive conversions, including sales, sign-ups, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Campaign Strategy: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop email strategies that support overall marketing objectives and business goals.
  • A/B Testing: Conduct A/B tests to optimize email content, subject lines, and calls-to-action, ensuring continuous improvement in email performance.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Segmentation and Personalization: Utilize segmentation strategies to deliver personalized content to different audience segments, enhancing engagement and conversion rates.
  • Compliance: Ensure all email marketing activities comply with relevant regulations and best practices, including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and other data privacy laws.
  • Stay Current: Keep up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in email marketing and direct response marketing.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in email marketing, copywriting, and direct response marketing.
  • Skills: Strong writing and editing skills, with a portfolio of successful email campaigns.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot, Klaviyo), CRM systems, and analytics tools.
  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyze data, derive insights, and make data-driven decisions to optimize campaigns.
  • Creative Thinker: Innovative and creative mindset with the ability to generate fresh ideas and approaches to email marketing.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Certifications: Email marketing certifications (e.g., HubSpot Email Marketing Certification) are a plus.
  • Additional Experience: Experience in other areas of digital marketing (e.g., social media, content marketing) is beneficial.
