Our client is looking for a highly motivated professional to work alongside their Business Development Manager (BDM) who is based in Melbourne, with a focus on the real estate sector. The company offers home staging and property styling services. This role is pivotal in driving growth, aiming to secure 241 new clients within the fiscal year, with an average deal size of AU$3,400 and a sales cycle of 7 days. It is a hybrid farming/hunting role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively schedule and manage appointments for the BDM, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
  • Implement and manage a structured sales cadence, including follow-ups, lead nurturing, and pipeline management, to meet targets.
  • Work closely with the BDM to service existing clients, maintaining strong relationships and identifying upselling opportunities.
  • Collaborate on strategies to source and convert new business opportunities, contributing to the team’s goal of acquiring 241 new clients annually.
  • Ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date on their systems
  • Answering inbound calls and monitoring enquiries that come in via the website and then phoning those leads to discuss the query
  • Creating quotes and proposals and then phoning clients the next day to follow up

Sales Cadence Approach:

Day 1-2: Initial contact and outreach to potential clients.

Day 3: Follow-up and scheduling of a discovery meeting.

Day 4-5: Conducting the discovery meeting, followed by a proposal submission.

Day 6: Client follow-up on the proposal, addressing any queries.

Day 7: Closing the deal and onboarding the new client.

  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to track and analyse sales metrics, adjusting strategies to meet targets.
  • Ability build instant rapport with clients/prospects
  • Bubbly and vibrant personality

The ideal candidate will be goal-oriented, with a strong sales acumen and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. They should be comfortable managing multiple tasks, ensuring that the BDM’s schedule is optimised for maximum client engagement and new business development. This role is perfect for someone who is not only organised and detail-oriented but also driven by the challenge of meeting ambitious sales targets.

Requirements :

  • Previous experience in a sales support or client management role (ideally within the real estate sector but this is not essential)
  • You will need to provide your own laptop, headset, backup power/inverter, high Speed Internet for Voip calls.

You would start work at 4am SA time (and finish at 12pm) so that you can overlap with the Australian afternoon. It is suitable for someone who likes to get up early, get their work done and have more time for themselves in the afternoon.
